Shield of Faith

Life Pieces to Masterpieces’ decision-making tool is the Shield of Faith. The Shield represents the artistic and spiritual values embodied by the apprentices, staff members and volunteers of Life Pieces.  Apprentices, staff and other LPTM supporters wear the Shield of Faith proudly.  In fact, peers, neighbors and even gang members respect LPTM’s values and the wearers of the Shield.

The Shield of Faith is shaped like an octagon.  Each side of the Shield represents values of LPTM and are color-coded:

Red is the color representing spiritual principles, complementing
green, which represents meditation.

Orange which represents loving, complements blue, which represents giving.

Yellow which stands for language, complements violet, which represents the arts.

By mixing a few colors, we get brown, which represents discipline.

By mixing all the colors, we get black, which represents leadership.
